July 2010 - Dr Marcela Vásquez-León appeared in a news article about the Western Hemisphere Institute, which brings students from underserved communities in Latin America for training in social and environmental justice leadership skills. Dr. Marcela Vásquez-León and Dr. Alberto Arenas, from the College of Education, co-direct the program, which is in it's third year of funding from the State Department. A new group of student leaders will be arriving this month.
