Climate Wise Women Event

April 2010 - A special event for Earth Day, Thursday April 22nd at 3:30pm - 5:00pm in Chavez Bldg Room 301 is coming to campus. Climate Wise Women brings dynamic women from Biloxi, Mississippi, from the South Pacific Islands and from Uganda to talk about how climate change has affected their communities and what initiatives they are leading in the face of these challenges. Three panelists, Joni Adamson from English and Environmental Humanities, ASU, Diana Liverman, Institute of the Environment, UA, and Stephanie Buechler, School of Geography and Development, UA, will engage in dialogue with the climate wise women and will also contribute by speaking on their applied research on adaptation to climate change in Latin America and elsewhere and how we can all work for a more sustainable future.
