Dr. Nieves Zedeño in the News

August 2010 - Dr. Nieves Zedeño and the Kutoyis Archaeological Project were recently featured on the front page of the Great Falls Tribune. She recently returned from a month-long archaeological investigation on the Two Medicine River, accompanied by a UA team that included field manager Jesse Ballenger, William Reitze, and Nicholas Laluk, all Ph.D. candidates in the School of Anthropology, Ben Curry, an anthropology master's student, and Don Luchetti, an undergraduate intern and anthropology major. In the field, she collaborated with members of the Blackfeet Tribe, led by Tribal Historic Preservation Officer John Murray, and tribal field school volunteers chosen by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

To learn more about the excavations and mapping of the extensive bison jump complex, see the Tribune article and subsequent coverage from the AP.
