Recent Graduates Accept New Positions

Congratulations to Maisa Taha (Ph.D. Arizona, 2014), who has accepted an assistant professor position in the Department of Anthropology at Montclair State University, where she will help develop a new linguistic anthropology track. She looks forward to contributing to a program with a strong record in applied and community based research and a commitment to four-field anthropology.

Congratulations also to A. Ashley Stinnett (PhD. Arizona, 2014), who has accepted a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Folk Studies and Anthropology at Western Kentucky University. Ashley is grateful to all of the faculty and staff support over the years, in particular the members of her committee—Drs. Norma Mendoza-DentonJ. Stephen Lansing, and Mary Beth Haralovich (of the School of Theatre, Film, and Television). She looks forward to working with a talented community of faculty and students at WKU. Ashley will continue her interests in applied visual anthropology, network science, and work-place discourses, in addition to researching topics on food systems.
