BARA researchers have also done research on ranching and agricultural communities in Northwest Mexico. A more recent study (2004) funded by CONAHEC looked at the Environmental Indicators for Sustainable Agriculture in several municipios located in the northern region of the state of Sonora. The study was done in collaboration with the Colegio de Sonora, Mexico.
